'(IF) LOVE ISN'T REAL' IS OUT NOW!
I WROTE ANOTHER BOOK!
Love, like life, is rarely simple.
'(If) Love Isn’t Real' is a collection of biting flash fiction and visceral poetry about young connection at its darkest and most surreal. These pieces move through the terror of opening up, the ache of yearning, the rush of falling in, and the bitterness of watching it unravel.
There are no tidy lessons here, and no gentle reassurances. Only a cynical, unvarnished look at the scars left behind when we reach for one another.
This book wanders through first attraction, forbidden feelings, intimacy, distance, and loss — blurring the line between love and longing, comfort and fear, devotion and dependence — until you're left to wonder:
Is love even real?
Similarly to my last collection, this one has been in the works for the last few years and features short stories and poetry from my early adulthood up until now. And, while I am super proud of ‘Letters to Alex No.2’, I think this new book is a massive step up in quality. Over the past few years, I have really come into my own as both a writer and a person and ‘(If) Love Isn’t Real’ is a huge testament to that.
There’s a strong theme throughout this collection which I think is made obvious through the title. This collection documents my journey and relationships with love through the lens of fiction. Some of the pieces inside are a little wacky, some are sombre, and there’s even one or two that are genuinely sweet! So I do hope you grab a copy!
And if you do get yourself a copy, please please PLEASE leave a review on Amazon. That is the biggest and best way you can help me reach more people with my work. (And also I just love hearing everyone’s thoughts!)
I am especially proud of this collection and I really hope you enjoy it too!
